Chris Brooker, DO is a board certified Addiction & Internal Medicine physician. Dr. Brooker graduated from AT Still University in Kirskville, MO. He completed his Internal Medicine training at Mount Clemons Regional Medical Center in Mount Clemens, Michigan.
Dr. Brooker has spent much of his time in addiction medicine practicing outpatient treatment and specializing in the use of Medication-Assisted Treatment(MAT) with Suboxone and Vivitrol. He served as Medical Director of Clean Slate Centers, an outpatient MAT center opening their first two locations in the state of Arizona. During that time, he worked with Alkermes (the makers of Vivitrol) and other leaders in addiction medicine from the Phoenix-area on establishing protocols to be used in correctional facilities to ensure access to Vivitrol, a potentially life saving medication, to those exiting the Maricopa county prison system. Dr Brooker was invited to sit on Governor Ducey’s Arizona “Opioid Epidemic State of Emergency” Taskforce. Dr. Brooker also has experience working in the residential rehab setting working at A Better Today Treatment Center in Phoenix.
In 2018, Dr. Brooker opened Halcyon Health & Wellness so that he could practice addiction medicine in a full time capacity. Dr. Brooker is a relentless advocate for his patients and approaches their care with compassion and respect. He empowers them with knowledge about addiction and the strength to once again become their best selves.
When he is not working as a physician, Dr. Brooker enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, staying active, following Duke basketball and the Dallas Cowboys, movie-watching and attending his kids sporting events.
